NORTHERN SPARK PROJECT
A 3D created environment encompassing all four seasons in which a user in the real world navigates by moving their own body. This project is being worked on with the SCSU Art department.
Photos from the Northern Sparks test run in Kiehle on June 10, 2015. Thank you to Nick Lenz from University Communications for capturing the event. The user sits on the bench and navigates through the custom, 3D environment (equipped with all four seasons spread across the map) by leaning on one side. There is a lever in the room that controls the magnitude of flying particles which are leaves, snowflakes, or water depending on which seasonal climate the user is experiencing. The user can also jump and throw objects, such as jack-o-lanterns.
