LucasFilms and ILM, the 40-year-old special-effects company that brought you Star Wars and Jurrasic Park's first dinosaurs, are teaming up to create "experiential entertainment". Imagine being able to strap on a pair of virtual reality goggles, such as an Oculus Rift, and then interact with a scene of a movie. You could live out the moment with the characters from the film like R2-D2 and C-3PO. This kind of technology could take movies to a whole new level.
